Energy Psychology

Energy Psychology

Energy Psychology is an interesting new development in the field of therapy.

These methods have evolved from pioneering work done in the areas of body psychotherapy and applied kinesiology and can involve some muscle testing (body dowsing), tuning in to certain ‘thought fields’ and then tapping certain acupuncture points in specific sequences. Although this may seem odd at first, and does not fit in with our western medical model or theories of illness or health, there is some compelling evidence being amassed as to its general efficacy – and further research is underway.

Within the various methods and protocols, psychological resistances, psycho-dynamic conflicts and relationship issues are also addressed.

With an experienced therapist, this can be a very thorough and gentle way to work with trauma and associated difficulties.

There are many types and methods including:

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)
Thought Field Therapy (TFT)
Psychoanalytic Energy Therapy (PEP)
Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT – formerly Seemorg Matrix)
Bodymind Healing Therapy
Dynamic Energetic Healing (DEH)
Brainspotting (BSP)
Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM)

I have completed foundation modules in EFT (level 2), PEP, AIT and advanced training in DEH.
